The University Student Welfare Office (USWO) from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Campus Medellín, is conducting a research on students' healthy and unhealthy habits in order to design new cultural and health programs for all students.
Students from all areas are invited to be part of this project by volunteering for the USWO. Those volunteer students will conduct a survey to know about the students' healthy habits, write an information report about their findings, and present it orally to USWO.

Every year Bitácora UN (Our University online newsletter) publishes the biographical recount of representative people who have contributed to change their communities positively with their actions by nominating them as Bitácora UN Hero / Heroine. Nominees must be people from the university. These nominees may include: community leaders, students, artists, athletes, teachers, or any other person who has been remarkable for his/her actions.
This year the editorial board is encouraging students to nominate their University heroes and heroines by sending a 150-word personal profile. This profile should include a creative personal description of the candidate (his/ her qualities) and how s/he has contributed to society. Right after that, you will write a biographical recount of your nominee.

Our University will be participating in a Global Youth Forum organized by The World Bank Group (WBG) and its Global Partnership for Youth in Development (GPYD). This Forum is a space to discuss global issues such as global warming, sexual discrimination, racism, child labor, among other topics, and to involve young people in efforts to achieve sustained, peaceful, and broad based economic development.
Twenty students from our University
will be selected to travel to Washington DC where the Forum
will be taking place (all expenses paid). The only requirement
to participate is to write a cause and effect essay about a
chosen issue explaining the problem, its causes, its effects
and possible solutions, and to prepare an approximately five
